Introduction: Born, raised and schooled in France, I started teaching French at the University of Hawaii during a 2 year Master program in European Languages. I joined the Beverly Hills Lingual Institute in Los Angeles where I taught all levels from beginners to conversation.
Today, I teach all levels at the Community College of Southern Nevada.
My tutoring service includes the following:
* All levels, from beginners to conversation
* Coming exams preparation (written and oral)
* Ongoing customized sessions with proprietary teaching materials
My tutoring approach:
To maximize language acquisition, I would recommend a weekly two hour class. This would give us to opportunity to create long term memories which is always a primary linguistic objective.
Assigned homework would follow which would include reading, writing and listening-comprehension activities (delivered via email or flash drive according to file size)
Content will be determined based upon your current French level and we will meet prior to engage in any teaching format.
Optional materials:
- Talk French 1 by Isabelle Fournier, about $15 online.
- The French Experience, a BBC LANGUAGE COURSES publication, about $45 online.
Classroom environment:
A white eraser board would recreate the class style teaching, very useful to create a bi-directional approach and to support interactive explanations.
