What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each session has a session fee that pays for the photographers time & talent for taking the photos and editing, as well as a planning consultation before the photo session and a viewing consultation after the session.
This session fee is due at the time of booking, and all prints/products are sold separately from it.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With all my clients, I require a pre-session consultation to plan out their photo session details, wants, and needs. We discuss every detail from clothes and colors to props and finished wall art designs.
The next step is the session its self...this is where the magic happens. Each session we do is between 1 and 2 hours in length, and custom to you.
After the session editing can take 2-7 days depending. When finished with editing I will drop you an email to let you know its time to come in for your viewing consultation.
During the Viewing Consultation we will go over your images, pick out the prints and products that are included in your Session Collection, and even take a look at wall gallery designs for your home. There is no obligation to order any more than what is included in your session collection. However, we do encourage you to order custom items such as albums and wall collages during your viewing consultation when we are there to help show you examples of each items final look.
Orders can take up to 4 weeks to complete as we are reliant on our professional labs productions time as well as our own creation time on custom products. However, most print orders are completed and ready for pick up within 10 days.
Custom orders are final.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Working for the Sherman County Times in High School.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I predominantly work with pregnant women, babies, childbirth and families. While I have experience in most every field of photography, I love to schedule families and babies of most any age. .
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Most recently traveled to Las Vegas, NV for a few client sessions. I love to travel around the country each year doing sessions. This year my goal is to take on a trip to Denver, Las Vegas, and maybe Phoenix for sessions, but also to just explore more of Nebraska and show more of its beauty to the world.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Funny enough...I actually have several top level blog posts about this topic. But if I had to pick one bit of advice...make sure the photographer is legal and fully insured. It is one thing if your neighbor wants to just do a couple quick pics for you, but if you are looking for an actually professional photographer for portraits...please make sure they have a license, tax ID, and insurance. That they are a real business. Very important to protect yourself.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What is your end result goal and what budget are you looking at?
ALWAYS think about your budget and how much time you have to save up for professional photography. Our goal is NEVER to make you go broke just because you want beautiful photos of a special event. But you must keep in mind photography business owners have a lot of behind the scenes bills to pay in order to be legit and give you an amazing experience with amazing wall art in the end. It is a luxury experience and should always be budgeted and saved up for...especially for heirloom imagery that will last a lifetime.
