A Tutor Place

Introduction: A Tutor Place is a different kind of tutoring center. A Tutor Place is a collaborative teaching environment where tutors and students work together to achieve a common goal. We believe that a solid learning foundation begins the with establishment of a solid rapport between tutor and student. We also believe in constant communication with parents as parental involvement is absolutely crucial in the pursuit of academic excellence. Our teaching philosophy at A Tutor Place is centered around equipping students with the necessary skills to succeed academically while empowering students to take an active role in their education. Modern education requires the ability to recall information and apply it in a multitude of fashions. Many tutoring center focus solely on helping students solve the problems in front of them. While this is useful, it's not ideal for developing advanced problem-solving abilities. At A Tutor Place, "teaching someone to fish" is our ultimate goal. WE LOVE helping students! I know this is terribly cliche, but anyone that doesn't genuinely enjoy helping others isn't A Tutor Place material. Our goal is to provide affordable, quality tutoring to every student we have the pleasure of working with. We understand the tremendous responsibility we have in assisting every student that comes through our doors, a responsibility that inspires us each day.
