Introduction: Ben Stein Fitness offers both in-person training, as well as in-depth online training. I follow the most current exercise science guidelines in order to get you to your goals as quickly and efficiently as possible. I have been working as a coach in the fitness industry for over 7 years now; holding 6 nationally accredited certifications, and providing measurable results to both elite-level athletes as well as individuals simply looking to improve general fitness. Every client that signs on with Ben Stein Fitness will begin training with a Functional Movement Screen to monitor your movement/minimize injury through training, and an overall fitness assessment; which will be used throughout training to ensure numeric and measurable results are being met. Worried about training because of prior injury? I got you covered. I have an extensive knowledge of rehabilitation/injury prevention; and I have spent a considerable amount of time studying under a physical therapist. Personal Training

There is literally nothing I could say negative about training with Ben. He is an amazing trainer to myself and my wife. He is extremely knowledgeable and our workouts are fun and effective. I’ve always had a problem staying consistent just because I hate working out but his workouts are always creative. When it comes to form he is very good at thoroughly explaining technique and it makes it easier to remember when trying to do the workouts in my own. Definitely looking forward to continued progress!

Ben is an amazing trainer, and trust me, I’ve worked with enough trainers to differentiate the mediocre from the exceptional! I told Ben that I have MS and explained some of my limitations, and while he’d never worked with someone with MS before, the day of our first session, he’d taken the time to learn about MS and adapt exercises based on my condition. I was extremely impressed. We’ve now been working out together for a month and while I didn’t know if my body had changed at all, my boyfriend has noticed the changes in my physique and has positively commented on them. Also, he noted that my posture and balance seem to be improving! Ben takes the time to get to know you, to understand you, and to truly design a program that works for YOU, the individual person. I feel I’ve found a gem in the world of fitness trainers and am more than happy to give Ben my highest recommendation. THANK YOU, BEN!

Ben is just one of those people you immediately like. He has all the skills that you want in a trainer. He pushes you in a way that doesn't make you feel embarrassed or ashamed of yourself. He also gives praise when its deserved. You can tell immediately that he knows his stuff and is always correcting bad form. I really appreciate that in a trainer. He obviously has passion for what he does and is just overall a cool guy to know. I hope someday he comes back to SLC. :)

I worked out with Ben for about a year and achieved better results with him in that year than I had with 4 yrs of CrossFit. He really cares about your form and pushes you to get stronger. You definitely won’t be able to cheat or do less than you should with him around. He is by far the best trainer I have ever worked with and results driven! You will achieve your fitness and health goals with him!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    When a new client signs on with Ben Stein S&C, we always begin with a Functional Movement Screen to evaluate basic movement patterns and mobility. We will then do an in-depth assessment of general fitness, specialized to measure attributes related to your specific goals.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Ben has 6 nationally accredited fitness certifications, such as: Certified Personal Trainer, Functional Movement Screen L1, Fundamental Capacity Screen, Original Strength, American Parkour, and USA Weightlifting L1. Additionally, he has completed much Exercise Science education at a college level.
