So far I've had a great experience with Rocky and my lessons. I reached out to him seeking help with piano and music theory to give me extra help with what I'm learning in my online music theory course and so far everything he's been going over has been spot on with my online course. The extra help is definitely useful. Today will be my 5th lesson with rocky and so far we've gone over a brief history of where the piano originated, we've gone over the layout of the piano, white and black keys, sharps and flats, correct posture, we've gotten into intervals, major scale, correct fingering of different major scales, circle of fifths, and have gotten just began getting into the minor scale. He's worked with me playing the piano with both hands and over just a weeks time I've gotten a lot better at it which is awesome. Rocky's prices are competitive and i like how he's doing it to give back to the community which is great! Definitely recommend rocky to anyone seeking lessons in piano or music theory. Thanks Rocky!
Pam is a very patient & positive teacher, and I look forward to continuing lessons with her to improve my piano skills.
Elaine is so personable. I connected with her instantly. I like her teaching style and would recommend her to anyone interested in taking piano and/or guitar lessons.
I have no musical background, but always wanted to learn to play the piano. Vince is an awesome teacher. He loves music and gets really excited when teaching it, which makes me excited to learn. He is very patient and makes sure you thoroughly understand the basics before learning the more difficult skills.
Olivera knows exactly what she is doing. She taught me how to properly use my diaphragm when singing and I've heard improvement within days! If you're looking for singing lessons, Olivera is the way to go!
Travis is a wonderful teacher to my two kids, ages 8 and 5. My kids enjoyed him as he made his lessons enjoyable and he taught piano in a way an 8 year old and 5 year old can understand. He is also very thorough and knowledgable. It makes learning piano fun and easy! Thank you Travis!
My experience with Kristie is from taking private guitar lessons with Tommy Regits and Over the Mountain Music Studio. In the beginning, years ago, Krisite was the friendly face behind the scenes, always there with a welcoming smile and a keen attention to detail. Krisite was very efficient in scheduling and adjusting schedules to meet my changing needs. Back then Kristie was developing her studio, and learning to use all of the latest technology to enhance anyone's musical experience. As for Tommy Regits, and Over the Mountain Music Studio, well the experience will ROCK you and change the way you interact with music. Whether a complete beginner, young or old, or an accomplished musician, Tommy adjusts his style to meet the needs of his students. My son is an accomplished musician and also spent some time with Tommy, developing a deeper understanding of how music structure works at a level beyond music theory. Tommy and Kristie really care about their students, and help each one get the most out of their time together. They take the time to prepare for each lesson and are fully engaged without distraction for the entire lesson. Always a cheerful attitude. Kristie and Tommy can do everything to help you get to the level of performance you desire...well except for doing your practice...Ha! Anyway, young or old, beginner or professional, they can help you go above and beyond your own expectations. And check around, they are the best deal in town. My money is valuable to me and I spend it wisely, so here's some wisdom, give the Desert Dawn Studio and Kristie, or Over the Mountain Music Studio and Tommy an opportunity to enhance your experience, and write your own review! And tell your friends (but only after you get the good time slot...)! Music is a wonderful gift and all it takes is some practice, and with the proper instruction your time will be well spent. Lastly there is a lot of stuff on the internet but none of that even remotely compares to having someone understand and care about you creating your own reality with music. Once you have the music no one can ever take it away from you. If you are choosing to invest in yourself, make a small deposit with them, your investment will grow fast.
My 15 year old son began playing the violin a little over a year ago. He has been taking violin lessons at Nevada Music Academy for the past 6 months. He has improved tremendously under the instruction of Dr. Julie Jack. She is a very accomplished and talented violinist and teacher. Dr. Jack is a patient, knowledgeable, and passionate instructor. She has instilled that passion into my son. During the weekly lessons Dr. Jack models how it should sound, plays along with him, as well as gives him constructive feedback on how to improve his technique. He looks forward to his lessons every week. We feel very fortunate to have Dr. Jack as my son's violin instructor.
dimitri is a pleasure to learn composition from. his encyclopedic knowledge of both contemporary and classical music made our lessons a great time, when he would pick out an obscure janis joplin b-side with a fugue in it, or decompose a ratatat song into its components and highlight the parallels with baroque music. it really clicked and in just a few lessons i had already started adding big changes to my compositions. really opened up the box i had been in for years. he's a nice and funny guy, too just a great time, some great synth sounds, a great teacher.

Barry is AMAZING! Barry is always kind, patient and accommodating. His enthusiasm and passion for music is contagious. Our daughter has thrived, she plays the piano beautifully and her confidence has grown immensely. I can recommend Barry without reservation!
Having always had a passion for the piano, I was so glad to find such a wonderful teacher for my first piano lessons. Learning piano has been quite challenging, but also much more fun than I expected. I have been her student for just a few short months, but I am making good progress. Ally teaches helpful techniques, ryhthym interpretation, emphasizes the importance of each exercise, and is always receptive to my questions. I already play a wind instrument and believe I am a very motivated student, but Ally gives me more motivation to practice and improve, but I admit that I never practice enough. I believe Ally has been playing most of her life, and has dedicated her life to this wonderful vocation. Have you been thinking of taking up the piano, but never had the time? I want to encourage you to go ahead and take a lesson with Ally in her comfortable studio. Personally, taking up music and piano has been life changing for me and adds so much to my quality of life. Mr. McCrary
I was looking for a new piano teacher for my daughter who began piano at the age of seven and was now 16 years of age. Her first teachers did not give her a strong foundation, she would only learn the songs, play them fast, and they would pass her on to the next composition. When we came to our first meeting with Dr. Bethany Campbell who gave us a free consultation, my daughter and I were amazed at her professionalism and passion for excellence! She made communication and asking questions very easy. Dr. Campbell truly cares about perfecting the composition and making it sound it's very best how the composer intended, while at the same time leaving room for individual playing styles. I have seen a huge improvement in my daughter's piano playing. Dr. Campbell has helped to fill the gaps in the foundation of my daughter's knowledge and skill in piano. The motivation and joy has returned to my daughter's piano playing who is now 17 years of age. Thank you Dr. Bethany Campbell!
I had been playing bass guitar for a year already, when I decided that I had to kick it up a notch. I was referred to Vince Lauria by a friend. Little did I know I was with the best music instructor in Vegas. I've been taking lessons twice a week for the past 2 years, and love every minute of it. Vince somehow finds a way to teach so much in so little time and still make it fun. Even when I was overseas taking lessons via email, they were still challenging and exciting. He uses a different style of tablature that makes learning songs and melodies twice as easy. He is extremely knowledgeable on numerous instruments ranging from the banjo to the piano as well as different styles of playing. Music theory lessons with him have not only exponentially increased my playing ability on bass, but expanded my understanding of how music is composed. After recently coming back from an audition and tour at Berklee College of Music, Boston I realized that Vince had been preparing me all along by using the same style of teaching that the professors use! I would not hesitate to recommend him to any musician in the country.

I offer quality private, in-home piano lessons. I provide fun, upbeat lessons. I am a bit of goof ball. I focus on making sure your child enjoys music. I stress the ability of knowing when to stop and giggle and when to sit up and focus. I tailor every lesson to the learning needs of you child. Every brain processes information differently; my goal is to make sure you child/my learner is understanding and enjoying the information I am feeding. It isn't always fun; some times it is hard work! But, it is always worth it. I have such a passion for music and teaching children. I love to push my students to be the best they can be. Music helps so many other ares of the brain and will help your child improve in other areas. My favorite is creativity! I love to watch my students take the tools I have given them and build with them. There is nothing more fantastic as watching the light bulbs, the smiles of achievement, and the dangling tongue of focus. I most commonly only take beginners, as I like to work from the foundation with each students. If the student has had previous piano lessons, I require a small audition. Students must be no younger than five, know their ABCs, and be able to count!
