Grace M. says, "I was extremely happy with the service provided by Jonesy's Electrical. Although I had a relatively small job (replacing 6 smoke detectors), it was something that needed to be done ASAP. The detector that was chirping was on a 14' ceiling. Several other companies would not even consider it, but Jonesy's picked up the replacement detectors, came out the same day, and completed the job efficiently and professionally. Jonesy is a pleasant young man who knew what he was doing, worked quickly, cleaned up after the job was done and charged a reasonable amount. I'd hire him again for any electrical work if the need arises."See more

Daphne C. says, "Paul and his team are very good with the details of the work. I picked this team over other companies because they offer lower price, good work from their reference and very knowledgeable about the work. At the quote estimate stage, Paul recommended the very pretty flooring that fit my style at a reasonable price. The team are knowledgeable in how to install vinyl planks in tricky areas like stairs and handrails the final finish is good. I went to the new home during renovation to inspect the work progress. I can tell they left good enough space between the planks and the wall for heat expansion. Good caulking was done at the edge of stairs to seal the gap with matching color of the wall/flooring. Also, the planks are cut nicely underneath the baseboards. They did a nice touch up and installed the baseboards better than the original builder’s install. They are always very quick in touching up all the minute details I requested. And Paul is very patient in answering my questions. Time wise, they finish the work very smoothly and timely manner, despite the flooring got delayed in shipment. Overall, it’s a very happy experience working with Paul and his team."See more

Do electricians do free estimates?

Yes, they do. Whether you’re looking for new electrical work or wiring repair, the electrician should offer you a free estimate.

How do I hire an electrician?

Go online to find a list of the best electricians in your area. View each individual electrician’s profile and learn more about their services and expertise. Then, read reviews from satisfied customers as well as any issues they may have encountered. This will help you find one with the right experience to work safely in your home.

Is it worth it to hire an electrician?

Yes, it's usually worth it to hire an electrician instead of doing the work yourself.

What questions should I ask an electrician?

  • Do you have any references? Ask for references to learn about their work history from previous customers. You may be able to look online at reviews, but it’s also good to speak to someone to find out their experience with this electrician.
  • What types of services do you offer? Whether you need repairs or installation services, make sure the electrician can perform the work you need.
  • How long will the job take? This will help you set expectations and rearrange your schedule (if needed).
  • Can you send me free estimates? Request a job quote or estimate. This will help with comparing different electricians. The numbers may vary, but be sure to factor in the experience of each person, as well as the scope of electrical work you’re asking about.
