- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Local Moving is charged by the hour and includes the men, truck, fuel and mileage. Long Distance Moving is charged based on the weight/volume of your household goods and the distance that you are travelling. Both include all disassembly & reassembly of furniture, moving blankets, shrink wrap & tape, loading & offloading, fuel, taxes, tolls, scale fees, mileage and the basic valuation of .60 per pound as well as placement & setup of everything at the destination. Packing boxes/personal belongings or specialty items can be added on as an additional service.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Gathering the pertinent information, discussing and discovering the customers specific needs, and providing a quick and easy quote. Typically we need an inventory of the items to be moved, and address' to get started.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Over 20 years in the moving industry. AMSA Members/ProMovers Certified. A+ with all of the agencies across the board. Movers are professionally trained, not day workers.
