Hired on Thumbtack

I hired Joe to install a tile floor in my bathroom and install a vanity. He told me he could tile the floor in 8 hours and install the vanity in 2 hours. I am mostly satisfied with the tile work, except he put the tiles too close to the toilet flange, so now I have to hire someone to come cut the tiles so I can install my toilet. However, he worked very slow...he took 2.5 DAYS to tile my 60 sq. foot bathroom. Be sure to pay by the job and not by the hour if you hire Joe. I am absolutely furious about Joe's "installation" of my vanity. Joe said we would cut the plumbing pipes down, and then cut two holes in the bottom shelf and slide the vanity over the two plumping pipes, and hook up flexible supply lines to the sinks. Instead, he sawed huge sections of the bottom shelf (which is visible) and just pushed the vanity back against the wall. He absolutely destroyed my brand new $700 piece of furniture by doing the exact opposite of what we had discussed. I confronted Joe and asked him to file a claim with his insurance for my vanity, because it is now ruined. He said he doesn't have insurance. He said he would pay for a new vanity but when he found out how much it cost I never heard from him again.
Silver State Handyman Services LLC.'s reply
What she is not telling you is first of all her bathroom was more than 60 square feet anyone who has ever done tile knows how long it takes. Second I did the job in 19 total hours Jessica payed 400 dollars total when the job was done on the weekend during Father's Day. She's also not telling she installed the hardie backer herself and it was done poorly and nothing in that bathroom was level there was also water damage. I will be putting a picture of the job I did for her on my profile so that everyone can see this so called disaster of hers which there is nothing wrong with it she just wanted a free job regardless of how hard somebody worked for her
