FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't charge by the square inch, but a flat fee for edge to edge quilting. My pricing may be a little greater for smaller quilts, but you will save money on larger quilts rather than to pay by the square inch. Thread is included in the pricing. Trimming, batting and binding are not included in the prices, but are optional. If there is a specific quilting design you want that I do not have, I charge the customer 1/2 the cost of the design which is normally around $7.50. Return shipping is the responsibility of the quilter, but I will try my best to keep shipping as low as possible. Estimated turn around time is 2-3 weeks. Edge to Edge Long Arm Quilt Pricing Fabric Panel $ 45.00 Baby (45 x 60) $ 60.00 Lap (60 x 72) $ 75.00 Twin (72 x 90) $ 90.00 Double (81 x 96) $110.00 Queen (90 x 108) $135.00 Super Queen (93 x 120) $145.00 King (120 x 120) $160.00 If quilt measures any larger than the above measurements, it will bump up to the next size. (Example: measures 76 x 89 --it would be considered a Double Quilt. If you have any questions, just let me know.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Prefer to speak with the customer to get an idea of the work to be completed, time frame needed, materials needed, etc. as prices vary. Communication can be in person; over the phone, or by internet.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've sewn for many years and then started quilting about ten years ago. I am a member of a local quilt guild, following quilting blogs, research the internet and take classes from time to time.
