I needed something special for the cover of my forthcoming vampire novel, Sin Made Flesh, to set it apart from other vampire novels. Davis Art and Animation is in the process of delivering something very special - the work is very nearly complete and it is capturing the exact atmosphere and style I am seeking. Looking forward to seeing it on the books. Mark Davis is friendly, enthusiastic and very responsive and delivers sterling service for a reasonable price.
In 2008 I converted an old house (1795) into an inn. Being a former movie scenic, I painted the walls of the dining room a gorgeous red/gold using several layers of self-tinted clear. I say that only to say that I have experience and a strong opinion in the world of décor and paint. Bob saw my background and suggested a mural. Having seen a lot of bad murals in life and not being familiar with Bob's work I politely declined. I liked my walls and had put a lot of work into them! He worked to convince me, showed me examples of his work and finally suggested he might do it in the Hudson River School style. I remained skeptical but he showed me some of his work that he had done like that and I had to admit he was good. So we agreed to have him do it and chose scenes from this small mountain town we both live in for him to work from, and he did the work. And it was gorgeous! I get compliments on it all the time - usually from guests who believe it has been there for a century or two. He even included a trompe l'oeil set of skeleton keys on the wall by the fireplace that finishes the room perfectly! Most recently, when finishing a book on the history of the area, the authors asked if they might use Bob's mural as the book's jacket art. They did and it is perfect! (By the way, I tried to give Bob five stars on value, work quality, professionalism, timeliness, communication and budget, but the little stars won't light up. "Overall Experience" worked, but none of the others did. I do give him 5 stars on everything!)
Fast, Efficient and pleasant to work with. Reasonably priced. Recommend Rose highly.
My co-writer, Troy novelist Jack Casey, and I hired Ben Karis-Nix to hand illustrate a promotional image for our community theatrical event, "The Trial Before Christmas." Our home-grown holiday "mock trial" was a surprise hit in 2013 that garnered an impressive amount of national media attention. Therefore, in 2014, we decided that the project deserved a promotional image and line of merchandise worthy of its quality and to help us take the project to "the next level." Ben Karis-Nix delivered -- big time -- capturing all the right elements of what makes this production special and worthy of national attention, while conveying our heart-felt, home-grown, small American city values. In short, Ben nailed it on the first try. THE JOB "The Trial Before Christmas" is a full-blown, holiday courthouse trial to determine who really wrote 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, a beloved holiday poem that was first published anonymously in the Troy Sentinel newspaper in 1823. For nearly two centuries, two "Old New York" families have claimed that their ancestor -- either Clement Clarke Moore, or Maj. Henry Livingston Jr. -- is the true author of those magic holiday verses. Our trial is held in a real courthouse, with real trial attorneys, real court officials, a real judge, real expert witnesses, real descendants from both families, Christmas ghosts, a jury and many other spectacles. Ben's beautiful hand illustration features the two historical authors -- Livingston and Moore -- seated at their writing desks resting in the scales of justice. Looming over them is the image of Santa Claus, in a style reminiscent of Thomas Nasts famous illustrations of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. The city skyline includes subtle references to Troy NY -- "Santa's Hometown." Ben created multiple variations of this image for use on a promotional poster, a holiday greeting card, and an artist's silk-screened print. These were eagerly purchased by many seeking a wonderful keepsake and I have no doubt they will be cherished for many years. I cannot speak highly enough of Ben's work. He is a true artisan, whose work is timeless. -- Duncan Crary, Author (Creator of The Trial Before Christmas) http://ChristmasTrial.com
Jackie is great at following through she bring out thoughts and transform them into creative design.
My interpretive architectural and historical paintings stand out because I am an accomplished, seasoned artist and have worked with numerous professional clients and teams in many industries including educational. I have a long history of superb client service and compelling pieces even when they have been done in rush conditions. When someone is involved in the arts, one has to be passionate about and love what they do. I am brought into some very fascinating historical projects that will outlive all the team members who worked on the project, so it is our contribution to future generations as well as our own. Secondly, what I do is a creative effort so each project is unique, has its own set of requirements and goals and therefore is original artwork. My clients have a lot of input in each piece I work on from composition and content to the finished artwork, so they feel the rewards of a job well done as well. It is a win-win situation.

In a world where comic book movies like 'Deadpool' are one of the highest grossing films, it's a good idea to add a bit of a comic book aesthetic to your projects. Printed Chaos comes from a comic book background, and everything we make has will POP! off the page or screen to get the attention of your intended market. Now that geeks have inherited the earth, design as a whole has become a lot more fun because people are paying a lot more attention to it. Creating illustrations, animations, videos and the like in a time when quality is really appreciated is very satisfying.

I am a children's author, illustrator and speaker. Most of my 38 published picture books feature cartoon style art and a humorous topic. For my last book, I had to write over 900 monkey riddles, so don't be afraid to test my joke writing skills. I have had a lot of experience working with people that were looking for abstract, surrealist and anything out of the ordinary. From album art work to punk bands to professional looking advertisements, if you want plain, ordinary, run of the mill work done you will not want to hire m I don't take my work to lightly or to seriously because for me it's not "work" I enjoy it immensely, the people I've worked for and with to create something unusual, just brings me some kind of joy in my life and often have made a lot of friends along the way
