FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing can depend on a few different things. Traditional Make-up VS Airbrush Make-up. If lashes are requested, the number of people needing services and the location of the preparations. I try to list all of my information right on my website as I know everyone is busy and having things at your fingertips is essential.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Any MUA worth their salt is going to always stay on top of education. The techniques that you start off using may become obsolete with the invention and implementation of new products. No one wants to be known as the out of date ANYTHING so classes, tutorials, lectures, articles, books etc are ALWAYS in rotation.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always loved art. Painting, drawing, fashion etc, it's just always caught my eye growing up. I used to rip pages out of Teen Bop magazine and use them as "charts" to try on myself. As time went on I did makeup on my friends, family and weddings. I attended Academy of Art University and fell in love with creating though the bulk of my classes were to learn the business side of the glamorous world I was so in love with. I worked at a makeup counter and being in charge of the bridal business at that counter I came across so many beautiful brides and my business and name flourished. I'm honestly so grateful to be able to do what I love and share that with so many from Prom girls, Brides, Models, Photographers, Magazines, Fashion Designers etc... It just feels good to be a part of the world I looked at with stars in my eyes as a kid.
