FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been an athlete all my life. As a result I have always been concerned with my physical fitness and really started studying how I could maximize my own athletic potential. Working out and training was always a very important aspect of my life. Once my athletic career began to wind down it was a very natural transition into becoming a trainer and helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. I started with a personal trainer certification back in 1997 and opened my first personal training studio in 2008.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you hire a qualified professional. Seek personal trainers that have many years of experience and have a large client base. Experienced trainers should be able to provide many testimonials to the quality of their service. Make sure the trainer takes the time to do a proper assessment of your current physical condition and can provide you with an idea of how long it will take to get to your desired result and what you can do to get there. Also, make sure the trainer trains you in a space that you feel comfortable in and that you have a good match personality wise with the trainer.
