FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been involved in the performing arts for most of my life. I hold a BFA in Musical Theatre from New York University, which is where much of my storytelling education comes from. I've been involved with audio performance for over a decade, including several years of engineering, directing, and editing audio for my clients. My work on the audio drama Powder Burns has been recognized by the Audio Verse Awards in 2015 with a Best Audio Engineering award, and in 2017 by the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences with a Voice Arts Award for Outstanding Storytelling, Best Performance.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My clients range from podcast hosts to panel moderators, with projects from audio books to audio dramas.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
For audio recording and editing, your engineer has to know what they're doing behind the controls. But on top of that, you need someone who can speak the performer's language, offering technical direction when needed, as well as shaping the artistic and storytelling aspects of the piece. Finally, for your piece to really shine, you need someone who makes you feel comfortable in the booth. If you're having a great time, the final product will be that much better.
