- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I give need scholarships up to 10% of my income. If a student can't afford my services, she can ask for a scholarship and, if I have money left in my 10% fund, I will grant it.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was 14 when I got my first tutoring job. I never wanted any job other than teaching.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
An excellent tutor spends as much time learning as teaching. She has to learn about the subject, about the student, and about teaching. An excellent tutor is never finished learning. The material for discipline changes all the time, the student needs change, research uncovers new methods. An excellent tutor spends hours in preparation.
