Mursi was OUTSTANDING!!! She DJ'd for two events that I was involved wth - the North Fork Women for Women Fund's Annual Summer Gala and the Metropolitan Museum Fundraiser. She is professional, and her music is awesome! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her for any DJ situation.

dapperQ, the leading style website for masculine women and trans-identified individuals, hired DJ Mursi Layne to provide music for one of the world's largest gender-queer fashion shows held at world renown Brooklyn Museum. Mursi demonstrated a high level of professionalism. Before the show, she was readily accessible to discuss our needs and submitted pre-show deliverables in a timely manner. Mursi arrived on time for the rehearsal and her performance was spectacularly flawless during the runway show and post-show gathering. We rented sound equipment from Mursi for the Center for Constitutional Rights Floyd Celebration back in August 2013. The event was one evening, and required transport and coordination of heavy equipment.
Mursi both delivered and picked up the equipment in a timely manner despite her having a family emergency in the middle of everything and needing to be out of the country. I found working with her to be very efficient and professional, and will definitely plan future events with her equipment and DJ services in mind.
Nothing to say that I would ask to be improved; would definitely recommend anyone wanting to work with her to do so in future.
