- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My 2021 rate is $75 an hour, but I am offering a limited-time 30% discount as an exclusive offer for Thumbtack users!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I assess what the student needs the most help with. I ask the student what their needs are and also determine from their responses what areas of their language use we could target for improvement in class. This is a private lesson, not a class, so the standards are set primarily by the student: your goals are the central aspect of our work. After discussing the student's goals and challenges, I lay out a month-long curriculum of work, with an assessment coming at the end of every two sessions. I love to integrate film and music into my tutoring! If you have Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc. and/or access to YouTube, the sky is the limit with our material for study!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Licensed Private Career School Teacher Certificate from the New York State BPSS. I teach full ESL classes everyday at an Adult ESL school in Manhattan. I have an BA in Theatre Performance in Romance Languages. Therefore, I am entertaining and engaged like an actor and compassionate and informed as a fluent speaker of French and Spanish.
