Introduction: Musicality. It's very important for me to create an environment where my clients can clear their mind, move their body and have fun. A broad playlist selection allows me to take requests from my people depending on their where they are emotionally or psychologically on that particular day. The transformation that can happen to a person within one hour is endlessly inspiring. Whether you need a structured circuit workout, or a vigorous cardio (I like to call them boogie break down sessions) - I've witnessed people at the start of a session go from exhausted to replenished by the end. I'm great at assessing what people need because I collect data, and pay attention to the detailed differences between clients.

I have been working with Zainab for a few years now, starting out in a studio and now she comes to my place. While I don't have a gym and we work out in my living room, I truly feel that we get the cardio in as well as strength training. She has shown me you really don't need a gym to get a great workout. A TRX, a mat,some bands and a bit of running around the block. Zainab has done a lot of research into physical as well as mental fitness and imparts this knowledge. She is completely respectful of the level of connection you want to make with your trainer. I have been so grateful to her in guising me along my path to both a healthier lifestyle, physically and mentally.

I decided to begin personal training as a way to restart a much needed lifestyle change following a difficult personal situation. I was overweight, had herniated discs in my lower back, was developing symptoms of auto immune illnesses, and chronically fatigued. I made the decision to change all of that and found Zainab online. Originally, I thought I would see her once or twice a week and supplement with the gym but she recommended three times a week and now I see why. My dramatically improved health and well-being was worth the investment. Zainab helped me to identify the habits that were holding me back, showed me how to make my body strong again, and helped me to increase my stamina. One pivotal moment for me was when she assigned me homework in between sessions; a long run around the park. I didn't think I was ready for it, but I actually completed it with ease! Something clicked with me that day. I realized how much Zainab had helped me to accomplish; both physically and emotionally. I became really strong and lean, my posture improved dramatically, and my mood and overall well-being was noticeable by many. On top of all that, I was able to go off two prescription medications. I carry the lessons I learned with Zainab with me well beyond our training sessions. I am forever grateful for the experience.

I worked with Zainab for several years, on and off, in a small group and one-on-one setting. She is a total pro! Zainab knows how your body works, and what your body needs. She motivates you to do your best, and she is also engaging and a lot of fun. I moved out of NYC, or else I would probably still train with her.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Look for someone who will be a valuable member of your team. At your consultation ask questions! If you have a wedding to get in shape for but the only exercise you've done is walking from your house to the subway - ask: what are the steps you will take to help me get in shape? What will the next three, six, ten months look like? Choose a pro that you feel comfortable committing to work with for the next six months to eight months on a consistent basis. That can mean once or three times a week. People often begin a project and quit before giving themselves (the body specifically) enough time to re-pattern new habits. Be a finisher!
