Introduction: Hello. Bonjour!
My name is Sihem. I am a French native speaker who recently moved from Paris to New York. I have a Master's Degree in Journalism from the university Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne.
I was teaching French, Economics and Math to high-school students between 2005 and 2010. I used to work for two after-school tutoring services companies in Paris: Acadomia and Apres la Classe.
Based on several sources (newspapers, magazines, literature, etc), my main goal when I teach French is to provide enough information (grammar, verbs, vocabulary, etc.) to my student so he/she can do the following:
- answer basic questions
- start a conversation and reply
- use the language easily and with accuracy
- have fun and be curious

Sihem was a great French tutor for my daughter. She was reliable, flexible and timely but more importantly she made the sessions applicable which helped improve grades and confidence. She was a great find!

Sihem has been my French tutor for the last 6 months, and I have had a very positive experience working with her. She very quickly adapted assignments and discussion topics to my areas of interest (philosophy), provided me with a written assessment after each class recapping my most frequent grammatical mistakes, and in general provided a very challenging, fun, and productive learning experience.

We were very lucky to find Sihem to tutor our 9 and 7 year old daughters. She has been with us for over 9 months now, and has consistently been professional, engaging and an overall pleasure to deal with. She teaches well and often comes up with creative ways for our young children to remain engaged and to continue their learning independently. After each lesson, she offers constructive feedback and suggestions for how our girls can continue their learning independently. She also thinks outside the box, often using french games, puzzles, and other exercises. Our girls love having her as a tutor, as do we. I do not hesitate to recommend her highly.
