Melita and I go way back(over 8 years) When I first used Melita, she was designing for a very good client of mine that keeps using us over and over again. Melita starting picking out (to me) very dark colors for a hallway bathroom that didn't have any windows. I was afraid that the whole room would be too dark. Well, after everything came together it was perfect.The homeower was thrilled. From that point on I totally trusted Melita and her design ability. When I bought my first condo, I hired Melita to help with my interior decorating and kitchen remodeling. She listened to me first and did a great job of guiding me through my options, giving her preferences based on what I wanted. She did such a great job and was so easy to work with, that I hired her again when I bought a home three years later. When I opened a new location for my business in 2013, she was the first person I called. She helped me not only with color themes, flooring and decor, but also helped with our build-out design to improve the flow and feel of our space. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a LEED accredited designer that has to renew my education in sustainability. I also go to many trade shows to know what is new and trending in design.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up with a flooring contractor father and a mother excellent at interior decorating.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hire someone that can give you the design style you desire and/or feels like they connect with you taste level.
