Introduction: Hello! My name is Kaz Araki and I am a guitarist and teacher living in Brooklyn. I have been playing guitar for more than 20 years and have been teaching since 2007. I enjoy teaching people who love music and especially love the guitar. I myself love all types of music (I know it's a cliché to say that but it's true) and wouldn't be doing what I'm doing if I didn't feel a deep passion for this form of expression. It brings me joy to share my knowledge of music and help students feel good about learning something new. I've been teaching remotely but am willing to consider doing in-person lessons if the travel time is less than 30 minutes. Students are also welcome to come to my studio in Sunset Park if that is easier for them but proof of vaccination is mandatory. I can do the same if you'd like. As far as my teaching style goes, I like to think that I'm patient, thorough, down-to-earth, kind of funny (semi-dark and dad jokes humor) and motivational. If all of that sounds appealing to you, reach out to schedule your first lesson! I'm willing to negotiate on rates if you are a student or are making less than 40k a year. Thank you!! "Kaz has transformed my guitar playing and I feel that I have reached a whole other level of creativity. Before the lessons, I knew little to nothing about music theory while only being able to play a couple of chords. Now I am more confident about coming up with guitar parts and playing comfortably with my band in front of an audience." - Peter K. “I believe every guitar player inherently has something unique about their playing. They just have to identify what makes them different and develop it.”-Jimmy Page

I am a physician in a well renowned hospital, so I work with excellent teachers and mentors daily. In terms of teaching skills, Kaz is top notch. He perfectly blends didactic lessons but identifies when its time to let go of the lesson and just have some fun. This unique mixture creates an outstanding learning environment. I am in my mid 30s and started guitar for the first time with Kaz, and I have noticed a tremendous improvement despite starting so late in life. I recommend him 1 million%! - Omar K.

We have Kaz as my daughter and son's guitar teacher since last 12+ years. We liked him since day one. He is a great guitar teacher. My both kids learned a lot from him and enjoyed having lesson with him. He is very flexible, very good in quality work, enthusiastic and very friendly. He became like our family member after all this years having him and we all love him. Thanks Kaz for everything. -Mr. and Mrs. Rana

Kaz teaches my son guitar and he is totally amazing. He is very easy to work with and is awesome with children. My son loves working with him and we may ask him to work with our younger son with lessons as well. My kids love him so much that they feel he's part of the family. We trully receccomend Kaz to anyone looking to learn guitar.
