- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
dogs: + walks (dog potty breaks or monitoring): are typically minimum 20 minutes and are 30 minutes max; $24. + 1hr+ outings (runs, park ventures, fetch, etc.); $48 + additional 30 minutes are are $24. + 2-for-1: 2 dogs owned by the same family, are still $24; any additional dog is a flat $12 fee. cats: + feedings, litter box touch up/ clean up: $24 miscellaneous: TBD
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Again, I have an incredible love for pets and now that I am away from my own back in Austin, I get to help families out by providing basic services to their pets as I would my own pets.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
In December of 2013, I stayed with 4 pets (2 dogs, an elderly cat & a snake) for a little over 2 weeks. Since it had been the day after Christmas the family left in a rush to catch their flight. Before they came back I took the initiative to sort their home back to a more organized fashion. It was a great sense of accomplishment that they were so surprised and happy to see their home in a state where they didn't have to worry about the chaos from the holidays. I had the opportunity to pet sit for them the following holiday season as well and I was still able to live up the that same quality of care for both their pets and home.
