Introduction: I have been making murals internationally in both interior and exterior spaces for more than 7 years. I am a trained painter (MFA from Pratt Institute). My specialty is my detail oriented design and precise execution. Most of my clients said they had never seen such a painting style. They said, "He works tirelessly," "Ambrus is an exceptional artist," "Ambrus is thoughtful and collaborative." I am very good at saturated colors and textured surfaces. I work both with spray paint and acrylic. My fee for sketches both digital and manual is $200 each. I work in all across the country and beyond.

Hired on Thumbtack

Ambrush added a large scale mural to our backyard. He was was thoughtful and collaborative throughout the project. You could see his passion about the piece come through in every brush stroke. I was amazed by the finished product. Its become the centerpiece of our backyard. We've recieved so many complements on his stunning work. Great artist. He will not disappoint.

Ambrus was really wonderful to work with. He put a lot of artificial care and pride into a large wall mural that one sees fort think when they come off the elevator to our apartment. Would highly recommend hiring him!

I would give Ambrus 10 stars if I could! Ambrus contacted me 10 minutes after I posted my idea for a mural. I wanted my old white door to be painted to look like a beautiful door with stained glass windows. Ambrus helped me with the details over the next few days and today arrived to put my idea into reality. He worked tirelessly throughout the day to create the mural and was welcome to feedback and made sure I was happy with the result. I couldn’t have asked for better. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I calculate the price of the design which is separated from the mural. I ask the half of the price for the design upfront and ask for the second half when the design is confirmed by the client. If design is not needed i am asking the client to pay the materials upfront before the execution of the design and the fee of labor when the completed mural is confirmed and the client is happy.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discussion, visiting the site, i make the design if needed and payment for the design, the fee of the design is to be discussed, agreement on the fine details, execution of the design, clients feed back, touch ups, completion
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold two MFA’s (master of fine arts) majoring painting. One is from University of Pecs, Hungary, 2005-2010. The other one is from Pratt Institute, 2018-2020
