Nathan (Memoir) opened himself to me because one of his values is being present in the current Moment. We were Strangers in a movie theater in NYC. He was dancing in the lobby near the elevator, I delighted in his dancing, and we were Introduced. Just like that. THen we started the loving that is community and intimacy. We would get together and just walk and talk. Strangers that became friends. Now, I live 3,000 miles away now from Nathan, and it's been a couple of years since we were together, however, two days ago I was thinking about one of our conversations we had when we met and talked. Weekly, I remember something about him, his syntax, his thoughtful ways, his curiosity, his loyalty, his humor, his awareness. I think about Nathan (Memoir) just because it helps me live my life with more confidence, maybe knowing him has made me better somehow. He has become an internal Mentor to me because he is an exceptional man in life. Take Care of him World, and listen carefully, he has something significant to say and sing.

Taught me first whole song on guitar - impressed my gf ;) I wanted to learn February Seven by Avett Brothers, so I took weekly lessons with Nathan. About 10 weeks later, I was playing the song, as well as singing it, at the same time :) I had bought a guitar and beaten it down for years, never learning a song in its entirety, but sitting with Nathan bit by bit was fun and bottom line, i learned a great song, and I impressed my girl friend at the time. You can't put $ value on that :)

Nathan is a very smart and creative teacher. It was really wonderful working with him because of his strong ability to listen. His teaching style is more personal and informative because hes such a great listener. I've grown so much as a performer and really thank him for providing me with the structure and confidence to create music!

Nathan was one of my first guitar teacher and encourage me to learn from songs i liked and to play without fear. It was a great way to start this practice which for me was completely foreign. He was always patient and gave me good techniques to keep learning.

I like to give a discount to my students for their first class.

I am continually learning from the masters by transcribing solos and going to the latest shows in Brooklyn and NYC.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have loved music all my life and I wanted to make it my career. So I put down my biology degree from Cornell University and made it happen with hours of work and dedication.
