Introduction: As an educator, I am very interested in helping a student understand that practice and learning is a fun and life-long experience at any age. The importance of creativity and using your imagination, while playing on and off the music stand, is very evident in my private teaching style. I only wish that my students become receptive to the idea that if one wants to learn how to play music, they must find the balance between the technical aspect of it and what ignites your heart and soul. I volunteered my time while studying in Boston with the Boston Symphony Orchestra to inspire kids at various ages to play the flute and see if it was a good first instrument choice. You can usually see the passion and interest in someone's eyes! In addition to teaching privately, I have taught at Corner Music Studio in Old Saybrook, CT, and currently teach in Forbes Music Company in White Plains, NY.
