Our wedding was a huge success, with the biggest part being the food and refreshments. Flora & Fauna went above our expectations. The menu was customized, unique to our taste and style, and the quality was exceptional! They truly enjoy working with food and pushing more contemporary and edgy recipes! They also helped hone in on our menu within 4 weeks' time period. Punctual, responsive to my numerous texts and changes, and even offered signature cocktails to compliment the food! I was skeptical hiring a personal chef however, since our baby was born we haven’t had the opportunity to dine at our favorite places. In addition, I have a very serious gluten allergy and I have to be careful about how my meals are prepared. My hubby’s birthday was coming up and I thought why not bring the restaurant feel to us. I booked Flora and Fauna without hesitation as Chef Hunter talked me through his entire process. He made me less nervous about the day and I appreciated that. On the day of the event, I was excited and Hubby had no idea what I had planned. The Chefs arrived promptly with their gear in tow. They were professionally dressed and swiftly began the preparation of a six course meal. I can’t tell you which was my favourite meal because everything was delightfully scrumptious. From the tender salmon to the succulent steak, we were both thoroughly impressed. They served us meals that tasted like nothing we ever had before. Each meal came out in swift succession and each meal got tastier and tastier. Did I say we were impressed?! Dessert though, we got a little hesitant. The plates were presented to us and we just couldn’t believe what it was. Wait for it… corn ice cream. Yes you read that right. Ice cream made from corn! We stared at the plate and with great uncertainty took a bite. We both looked and each other wide eyed and quickly took another bite. Then another and another until it was all gone. No one spoke. How could corn ice cream taste so delicious? When we paired it with the warm blueberry compote, the grilled peach and the crunchy gluten free cookie, it was magnificent. The flavors and texture were brilliant. It was so so so so good. We are hosting an event in two months and we are definitely hiring them again! If this is your first time, or you hire personal chefs regularly, make Flora and Fauna your first choice! I can’t wait to see what they surprise us with! Thank you both for an amazing experience!

We had such an amazing experience. Chef Jon was very accommodating with menu options, flexibility, and timeliness. Each course was so very well executed. The carbonara and salmon dish were incredible. Additionally, all the food was locally sourced and it just added to the overall experience. I highly recommend using Chef Jon Louie for special occasions, date nights, and group dinners.

My husband and I wanted to give my parents a 26th anniversary present. And because they are not yet comfortable going out to eat we hired Flora and Fauna to provide a romantic dinner at home. Lou was amazing! The meal was delicious! The presentation was stellar! We are so pleased. We highly recommend him.
