Introduction: I feel that my work stands out because I have creatively designed an online personal training and life coach business allowing me to reach more clients, anywhere in the world. In addition, I have a deep and profound passion for health and wellness; helping others achieve their goals. I come from a place where I didn't always appreciate and love what I saw in the mirror. I do now, and fitness, life coaching and healing some deep places within me has helped me significantly in so many areas of my life. It now fuels my desire to help others. What I enjoy most about my job is, patiently and encouragingly pushing people past what they think they are capable of achieving and then watching them brighten up as they realize they are worth more; can do more than their own limitations suggest. That means everything to me, because that signifies a greater revelation in life, in healing and in fitness.

Shayla is a terrific personal trainer on so many levels. Besides being very knowledgeable about exercise physiology, she is sensitive to individual physical ability and stamina. She pushes me but knows when to ease up; she is intuitive and quite observant and has an inate sense of what I'm capable of doing; she has designed routines for me that show results fast! I am 56 and have been inactive for a while, hence my searching for someone who could come to my home and get me moving again. She brings humor, positivity and passion to what she does. And she is whooping me into shape :) !!

Working with Shayla has been awesome. Her training exercises vary and never boring so she keeps you on your toes. She answers questions and explains. She is focused on your needs and capabilities. She is firm but patient which indicates that she genuinely cares about her clients. She pushes you to your full potential. I really enjoy working with her and look forward to meeting her each week.

Shayla has been a source of inspiration for me in more ways than one. She pushed me harder than I ever thought I could be pushed when we trained privately and she was encouraging when I felt down on myself. Her routines in P90X class are fun and intense; she will always modify the routine for you if that is what you require. Her ab workouts are very different from any other personal trainer or class instructor I have worked with and I have seen the best results from her. Her PiYo workouts will challenge you and help you become more toned throughout your entire body without compromising technique. I enjoy how she incorporates yoga into every workout routine and makes stretching a priority. Shayla has also introduced me to new food products that have changed the way I eat. Since I started following her methods I have seen significant results and have never felt better about my body.

Shayla is an amazing person and inspiration to get your body right! Not only does she train you, but she keeps me motivated and stay focused with her encouraging words. She really cares about peoples well-being. Shes the best!

My wife and I have worked with Shayla for almost a year now, using both in-person sessions and online training, and we have never had such good results from working out! Shayla is very personable and easy to work with, and will always work around our busy schedules. Recently my wife has become pregnant and Shayla has tailored our workouts to benefit her as well as keeping up the intensity so that we both benefit. I would highly recommend using Shayla for anyone who grows tired of repetitive self-training and looks to broaden their workout routine.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Yes, I have a certificate in Fitness Nutrition Specialist as well as Neuromuscular Stretching. I stay current with my P90X Instruction and am currently reading "Body By Science: A research based program for Strength Training, Bodybuilding and complete fitness in 12 minutes a week" to gain further knowledge.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    My advice is to think yourself worthy enough to give Personal Training a try. Believe in yourself and your potential and recognize that there's no other day or moment more important than this one right now. Do something good for yourself; in turn, you'll be doing something good for all those around you.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

    I'd like customers to know how valuable I think health and wellness is and how strong my desires are to help as many people as possible get healthy.
