Introduction: Jen Painter Photography specializes in story telling and portraiture. With over 8 years of experience, Jen Painter and her team have produced projects with communities, startups, local businesses and creative individuals. The goal is to support positive growth in each other, in communities and in the world. Whether it is a promotional video, a portrait, event coverage, or a short film, every project is highly sensitive to the genuine character of the client and strives to reveal a strong message, sophistication and ingenuity. Capturing stories and portraits is the opportunity to take in different perspectives. Being a photographer and producer for me means both taking a step back and taking a step forward; looking broader and looking closer. Every project begins as a puzzle and the fun part is figuring out how we're going to solve the puzzle with a purpose. We take all of the pieces and tell a powerful story.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Jen Painter Photography has base prices for different kinds of productions. These base prices do not include travel and other expenditures. Contact Jen for details.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I am excited to hear about your project and your goal. After learning more, we go over some questions that must be answered in order to start the production process, including team, budget and timeline. From there we review and sign an agreement and you submit a 50% deposit, which reserves your booking date(s) and confirms my services. From there we continue the collaborative production based on the individual project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my AA in Photography at FIT and my BA in Cultural Anthropology at Hunter College in New York City. After going to school and growing my business in Brooklyn for 8 years, I moved to Philadelphia to make a home and continue exploring vibrant people and communities in hopes of telling their stories.
