Nothing but positive feedback here! I’ve been taking piano lessons from Danny for about 3 months now, and I’m so pleased with him as an instructor! He is kind and patient yet also demanding. I leave each lesson feeling inspired to keep practicing and optimistic about my musical future.Sep 28, 2017Verified
We first met Danny when he taught music at our Children's elementary school. We were so impressed by the work he did with our older son's class, that we hired him to teach piano to all three of our children. He has been with us a little over a year. He has developed a great rapport with all three of our children, and he tailors his instruction to meet the needs of each one. He is always on time and very organized.Jul 16, 2014Verified
Piano Lessons (for adults)
I've been learning piano with Danny for a little over a month and have been very happy with his teaching. He has motivated me to practice regularly and while keeping the sessions fun has also pushed me to take on more difficult pieces.Nov 21, 2016Verified
Piano Lessons (for adults)
I have a big audition for which I needed the piano instrumentals of a song in a different key. I couldn't find the piano instrumental version anywhere on the internet and was incredibly lucky to find Danny on Thumbtack. We spoke on the phone and I let him know that I needed a piano accompaniment of 'King of Anything' by Sara Bareilles in e flat AND that I needed it within 5-6 days. Danny was incredibly professional and understood exactly what I needed. He delivered to me in 4 days both a WAV and mp3 recording of the piano accompaniment that sounds amazing! It's exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely work with him in the future and would highly recommend him.Jun 9, 2016Verified
Danny Ashkenasi is a warm and creative piano and composition teacher. While gently insisting on a strong technical foundation, Danny eschews traditional dogma and works with the student¹s strengths and desires. He is conversant with both classical piano and pop and rock styles. An intermediate adult piano student and rank beginner composition student, I have been studying piano performance and composition with Danny for two years, and it has been a consistently rewarding experience on all levels. He has helped me develop a compositional voice as well as a "bag of tricks", and it has been a tremendously exciting way to approach music.Oct 12, 2012
