I had gone to see her group perform a recital in the city, having known one of her students. Critical person that I am when it comes to the arts, i admit to being a bit overwhelmed by the quality of the work, especially by her younger students, a few who I am certain were only in their teens. The choices of music, the styles, the balance, the order, the juxtaposition between wistful and morose, and many emotions in between, was profoundly moving. And, as an unexpected treat, Ms. Micari closed the performance with a blues number from the 40s (I think) that left all jaws dropped. All in all, one of the best evenings in any kind of concert hall I've experienced in a long time. Brava!

I love her! She's an amazing voice teacher as well as a wonderful mentor. She really cares about her students and does a lot to help them. Mary's given me some wonderful advice when I needed it and she's really helped me get where I am today :D

She is a phenominal voice teacher. She was essential in me re inventing myself so I could live my dream. She fixed places in my voice that had deteriorated and some that I didn't even know I had! Her method of teaching technique is spot on. Bad habits have changed and either disappeared or improved and some new techniques have enriched my range and voice. One of the best teachers in New York.

Working with Mary is such a pleasure. She has helped me achieve so much and has helped me come so far. She takes interest in her students lives but remains professional. While coaching she adjusts her methods of teaching depending on the student which is a great tactic to use so the student completely understands the technical work of the voice.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I train myself. I coach on songs every other week and I sing every single day. I also pay attention to all new music, shows and media.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been singing since I was six years old and began teaching others to sing in High School. I have always done this...always.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Singing lessons by the hour. Master class every week which leads up to recitals. Plays, films and concerts my theater company does and where my students are highlighted.
