I had talked to Andy over the phone a few weeks before the weddinf and I knew he was the person I wanted to officiate my wedding. He is certified by the State of New York and you can rven ask the people at your local court. He was very professional, we kept in contact, his attire was formal for the ceremony, not expensive, and I even met his daughter. She is lovely. If you have any questions just ask him or go to his website :)Aug 27, 2014Verified
Andy did an awesome job at our wedding, he is very professional and, at the same time, knows how to bring the joy to the ceremony.Oct 10, 2014Verified

What a fabulous day and ceremony ! Andy listened to thoughts and ideas for wording our ceremony then worked with us to get it perfect. He was prepared, well spoken, well dressed (!) and most of all..personable. He doesn't just stand there and read from a piece of paper. He honestly cares and enjoys being part of the day. Wonderful job Andy. Thank you so much for being a part of our lives.Dec 3, 2013
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? There is no typical process, but so far the initial email or phone call has to do with date, time, place, and availability. Sometimes there are questions regarding the law, religion, or special circumstances (one was a ceremony at the jail; another required sign language; and one that required more Spanish than I know how to speak). Next, I can send multiple sample vows, and the couple may chose among those, or not, or make changes as preferred. Throughout the process, there may be many other questions or concerns, all of which I am happy to address.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Special license for New York City; accredited across the U.S. and elsewhere.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Someone chose for me. I was asked by a dear friend of many years to officiate at her daughter's wedding. Surprised, a bit puzzled, but mostly honored to be chosen for this august role, I became certified and officiated the ceremony. Sometimes our friends know us better than we know ourselves.
