Introduction: Hi! I’m Stephanie. I’m a New York City- based yoga professional. I teach group yoga at studios you’ve heard of, like Equinox, and have a bustling private yoga business as well. My focus is to teach you athletic, alignment-based yoga that will empower you in every aspect of your life. You will leave sessions feeling strong, challenged, body-aware, and with a greater understanding of how yoga can elevate your life off of the mat. Working with people is my passion - I can’t wait to help you feel like your best self.

Stephanie is far and away the best yoga teacher I have ever had. She has a genuine passion for what she does and it shines through in the way she designs fresh and challenging lessons. Her flows are some of the most satisfying flows I have done. She finds creative ways to link movements and I always leave sessions with her feeling so refreshed. She also has extensive knowledge of the field and integrates information on yoga practice and yoga theory. Stephanie also gives some of the clearest cues and adjustments. She seems to have a limitless supply of metaphors, explanations, and advice about what your body should be doing/how it should feel during class. 10/10 would recommend!

I have developed my yoga practice under Stephanie’s tutelage for 15 months. It has been very beneficial to my overall health & well-being. Steph is extremely knowledgeable and a delight to work with via Zoom 3000 away. She is a 10 on a scale of 10. My sessions with her have become an important part of my life.

Stephanie introduced me to the power of yoga and an effective, consistent practice. In a short time, my body awareness and mental connection to the movement of energy through it, have been awakened and transformed. I’ve had so many “aha” moments, as her insights are logical and anatomically sound. I leave each session energized and happy. She’s truly an inspiring teacher, knows her stuff, genuinely cares, and makes it fun.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically, we will connect and have a phone call so that I can better understand your needs. I will send you an intake form to fill out, along with a waiver. We will connect to find a time to schedule your first session, and ultimately we will aim to have a consistent weekly lesson day and time. It typically takes a few sessions for us to get to know each other, so my advice is to commit to at least three sessions with me to see if this is a fit.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 700 hours of training and am a 500 hour registered yoga teacher. I have studied anatomy, philosophy, Ayurveda, pranayama (breath work), meditation, and of course, asana (yoga poses).

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I found yoga while I was working in Public Relations - fresh out of college. I loved the practice, the philosophy, and the community. I knew that this was my calling. I became a yoga teacher while still working full time in corporate America, and through a series of events, I eventually made the leap to full time yoga teacher. Now, I am a Yoga Therapy candidate, training to work with diverse ranges of abilities, injuries, and ailments.
