I paid 1/2 the contract price as deposit to Green Earth Construction to replace 1/2 of my roof on my home on 10/13/2017 for a contract dated 9/28/17. They scheduled my job for 10/28/17. On 10/28/17 a crew did not show so I called late morning. I was informed their Friday job went over and my job would be done on that following Monday 10/30. Although clear in the am it became windy with rain. No one showed up nor called. Tuesday weather was clear but still no crew nor phone call. I left a vm wednesday am prior to going to work. No communication nor crew Wednesday or Thursday. Called the company thursday evening and talk to Tim. He put me on hold then came back and reassured me that he rearranged the schedule for Saturday 11/4 and I was the priority that day. I asked why the schedule was rearranged when I was next in line and still other jobs were being done that week. He promised Saturday without fail. No crew saturday morning but received a phone call from the Jessica around 9:30 a.m. The supply company started new winter hours and was closed on Saturday. The company would be there Tuesday 11/7. No crew nor any communication Tuesday or Wednesday so I called the company Wednesday evening and talked to Jessica again. She asked who told me I would be on Tuesday's schedule and I reminded her it was she who did so. She remembered saying that. She informed me she had to check with the owner and find out when they could come out. Within a couple hours the Owner, Rodney called me back. He said they were a growing company and without making excuses the weather had been bad. I said I understood about bad weather conditions but there had been numerous days including the previous Tuesday where the weather wasn't a factor and still I had been bumped and still did not have my job completed. He got indignant and said I would never have been put on the Tuesday schedule because they have a very strict separation of MON-FRI jobs and Saturday jobs. I was a Saturday job. I relayed that I was not informed of this policy. In fact if they were so adament on this weekday/weekend schedule then the Friday job on the 27th of October should have been completed on that Monday, not the Saturday I was originally scheduled for. At this point he reminded me "you are under contract". He promised materials would be delivered on Friday, he would stop by to confirm and my job would with no exception be completed on Saturday 11/11. No materials were delivered on Friday and I did not receive any communication. The materials from their supply company were delivered SATURDAY am (new winter hours) and that afternoon the crew showed up to move them into my back yard. The cold weather had been freezing their compressor lines and Friday jobs had not been finished. They asked if available they would come out Sunday 11/12 and give me a $150 discount. No one showed up on Sunday nor did a get a phone call. I left a voicemail stating it was unacceptable to be bumped 7 times for what I larger jobs under contracts signed after mine. My roof leaks into my upstairs bathroom and my homeowners insurance was contingent on the roof replacement 10/28. Monday after work Jessica called to ask if I was home and could she send Mike out to go over what needed to be done, ????????. Mike, the sales person who was my first contact was sent out to try and collect $900 additional for my job. Apparently the contract should have included other things. I pointed out the contract was writtten and signed and it needed to be honored. Monday Jessica left me a voicemail that they couldn't get out here but would definitely be here to complete my job tomorrow which was Tuesday 11/14. My roof has not been replaced and I have had no further communication from Green Earth Construction.
Green Earth Construction's reply
We understand your frustration here at Green Earth Construction we strive to make each customer feel like family. Unfortunately we cannot proceed with the old contract we need to have a new contract with the reduced price being that you were denied financing for the full roofing system. The owner has tried to to reach out to you numerous times and has sent the lead estimator over twice to go over the reduced cost of contract. In order to move forward we need to get the issue resolved. Please call the Office @7169319572 and speak to Jessica or Rodney
