Sheri was able to work around my busy schedule and made the SAT tutoring process very relaxing. She prepares you very well and helps with whatever you need. Her strategies are simple and easy to remember for the SAT test date. She is funny and really great to talk to!Oct 18, 2015Verified
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typically we talk on the phone or via text so we can set up a day and time to meet. I also answer any questions and find out if they want a consistent day and time or if they require a more flexible schedule. After the initial meet I make sure everyone is comfortable moving forward and we continue from there ...no contracts or obligations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?As a teacher we are required by the state to attend trainings and professional developments to stay up to date on the latest developments in our field. I have also been trained by Princeton Review on SAT prep and test taking strategies.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I became a teacher for various reasons but I specifically decided to tutor because I found it very rewarding. I love to work one on one with students and this provides me that opportunity. I enjoy seeing how their confidence grows as they gain understanding of the material. I wanted to tutor SAT because I remember how difficult it was and wanted to help students feel successful. It can be a very tricky test and knowing what to expect is critical.
