Installation: How are your pavers going to be installed? This is a critical point. There are hundreds of contractors out there and everyone has the best method. This may cause you to have more questions and leave you uneasy as to which method and which contractor you should choose. The first choice is simple. The initial thing which you have to carry out is to make sure the contractor is ICPI certified. The second choice has already been made for you by both ICPI and the paver manufacturer. There is only one approved method for paver installations. All paver manufacturers want their pavers installed as per ICPI guidelines. ICPI guidelines were created to regulate the industry and protect the consumer. The regulations are designed to even out the playing field and make sure that all installations meet the same criteria and specifications. The only approved method can be found in all manufacturers catalogs and on their respective web sites. Equipment: Using the right equipment is critical. To achieve a long lasting quality installation, the right equipment must be used in conjunction with proper training and experience. We are committed to providing the highest quality installations available. We are constantly updating our equipment. This permits us to utilize the proper tool for the right job. Inferior or inadequate equipment will always produce an inferior and low quality job. We are professionals and our investment in the proper equipment shows our commitment to get the job done right the first time. Geo-textiles: As part of every quality installation we install a woven geo-textile. Woven geo-textile is a soil reinforcement fabric. It is not a weed fabric. The fabric is designed to strengthen and extend the usable life span of the installed pavement by separating the compacted sub-base from the installed base material. This material supports and encapsulates the installed base material. This adds strength and longevity. The fabric also prevents rutting and surface depressions caused by any undermining of the sub-base that may occur over the usable life span of the pavement. Warranty: Anyone can install pavers. How long someone is willing to warranty their work is a sign of confidence and quality workmanship. Every job we do is completed to the best of our capability, and we're proud of the workmanship and quality that we provide. We are willing to back it up with our warranty. All of our paver installations are warranted for three years unless specified otherwise. We also offer a limited lifetime warranty. Perfect Pavers Multi-Step Installation Process The Process: Our multi-step step process is the only process approved by all paver manufacturers. Remember all paver manufacturers require that their pavers be installed by an ICPI certified installer to qualify for their lifetime warranties. Layout and excavation. Determine proper grade, slope and set final elevations. Identification, inspection and proper compaction of the sub-grade. Installation of a woven Geo-textile soil reinforcement fabric over the compacted sub-grade. RCA base installation over the woven Geo-textile fabric. Compaction of the RCA base as per ICPI guidelines. Lay and screed a one inch sand setting bed over the compacted base material. Install pavers in the desired layout and design. Install PVC edge restraints and 10 steel spikes as required. Compact pavers into the sand setting bed using a plate compactor with a protective urethane pad to prevent damaging the paver surface. Spread and broom Polymeric sand into the paver joints. Back fill edges with soil. Compact surface and broom sand into joints until full. Blow off excess Polymeric sand and activate the Polymeric sand with water. Enjoy. Why should you buy from Perfect Pavers? What makes us Different? Not all paver installations are the same, there is no substitute for quality materials and professional craftsmanship. We build it right the first time. Perfect Pavers provides: the highest quality base materials and installation techniques. 1. The base for your pavers is the most important factor, when it comes to quality. 2. This starts with an inspection of the area to be excavated. 3. After the excavation we inspect the sub-grade and remedy any potential problems. 4. We properly compact and level the sub-grade to the proper grade and slope. 5. We use a quality aggregate base (RCA) that doesn't contain toys, metals or organic materials that will cause a failure over time. Perfect Pavers reinforces all of our installations with a Woven Geo Textile Fabric. 1. Geo textiles provide soil/base reinforcement 2. Geo textiles add strength and longevity by maintaining the CBR of the base over a longer period of time. CBR is the California Bearing Ratio of the soil (how much load a soil can handle) 3. Geo textiles are designed to encapsulate the base material and prevent infiltration of foreign soils into the paver base especially when saturated or in freeze-thaw conditions, preventing rutting or settling. 4. Geo textiles prevent the migration of the installed base materials. Perfect Pavers uses polymeric joint sand in all of our installations. 1. Polymeric joint sand prevents weeds form growing in the paver joints. 2. Polymeric joint sand prevents ants from removing the bedding sand. 3. Polymeric joint sand prevents water and wind wash out from the paver joints. 4. Polymeric joint sand increases the pavers interlocking strength. 5. Polymeric joint sand helps shed water from the surface of the pavers. Perfect Pavers uses PVC paver edge restraints with 10 steel retention spikes. 1. No concrete to crack causing the pavers to shift and fall away. 2. PVC paver edge restraints will last forever and never rot. 3. PVC paver edge restraints allow for faster installation times. 4. PVC paver edge restraints allow grass to grow right up to the edge of the pavers, no unsightly broken concrete edges. Perfect Pavers uses the right equipment. 1. We use the proper compaction equipment required for each specific job. 2. We use a Uuethane (rubber) pad under our paver compaction equipment to prevent scuffing or damaging the surface of your pavers. Installation of the pavers. Quality you can see. 1. Aesthetically laying the pavers is the most important part for the consumer, however the whole job is only as good as the base installation. 2. Our craftsman take great pride in their finish work, and this is where it counts for most consumers. 3. We go to great lengths to make sure all the paver bond lines are as straight as possible, we either meet or beat ICPI guideline. For +/- over 50 ft, final surface elevations should not vary more than 3/8 in. under a 10 ft straightedge. 4. We make sure our installations are true and square with the proper pitch. 5. We don't just cut pavers and lay them down, we take the time to meticulously measure every paver that needs to be cut to assure that the finished product will have the proper fit and finished to satisfy the most demanding customer. Who's going to warranty it and for how long? Perfect Pavers warranties all of our paver installations for 3 years, and we also offer a lifetime warranty. The Paver Manufacturers warranty their products for a lifetime, provided their products were installed in accordance with ICPI guidelines and by a certified ICPI Installer. Perfect Pavers is also fully licensed and insured. We are licensed masons not landscapers doing masonry work.
