FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of my lessons are 1 1/2 hrs. long which is longer than you'll get from anyone else! Most places have degenerated to 40-50 min. lessons, some places still give you an hour lesson, but I'm giving you an hour and a half at each session! I charge $50.00 per lesson for a couple or an individual! I also have things I call Dance cards that give you a discount on a small group of lessons! I have a 3 session Dance Card for $145.00, which gives you $5.00 off on 3 individual lessons and a 4 session Dance Card for $190.00 which gives you $10.00 off on 4 individual lessons!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start from the very beginning! We first discuss the roles of partner Dancing, because you can't fulfill your roll if you don't know what it is! Next, we teach you the proper Dance hold! Your dance hold is your communication in Partner Dancing! Then we do 2 brief exercises that teach you how to move together as a couple! We do this in a walking mode because walking is something that everyone does reasonably well already! When you try to learn Dance steps and learn to move together at the same time it can be a frustrating experience! Dancing should not be a frustrating experience! The process should be fun, the experience should be fun, the outcome should be fun! All of these things translate directly in to the Dancing!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are 4 things you should consider when choosing a Dance Studio. 1. You should like your instructor and feel comfortable with him/her. 2. You should like their style of teaching and what they have to offer. 3. You should feel comfortable in the studio and with it's location. 4. The cost and the committment should be reasonable. You shouldn't have to remortgage your home to afford Dance Lessons
