- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat Diagnostic fee of 175.00. This will cover the diagnosis, and repair of basic issues; if parts need to be replaced, a quote will be offered as follows: -$125.00 per hour (Tech plus Helper), plus parts -For large jobs, $95.00 per man hour will be assessed, plus parts. We guarantee our work for 90 days from completion. Parts are warranteed as per the manufacturer. Billing MUST BE PAID prior to ANY WARRANTY WORK.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
As a pool operator, finding a reliable pool company can be tedious. My best advice is NOT to stick to just one company. Pool companies these days try to "specialize" in certain aspects of the business, and they will subcontract the rest (an expensive arrangement, if you ask me). Find a set of companies that can assist in the following categories of service: -Chemical Provider -Mechanical Service (pumps, filters) -Seasonal Service (Opening/Closing Pools, Pre opening inspections, etc) -Chemical Service (chemical feeders, Water Quality controls) -Consulting Services (Renovations, Health Code compliance) -Certification Services There are FEW companies that are "One Stop Shops"...
