I have been to many events B&D has done and the DJ service is outstanding- they keep the crowd involved and very enteratined. I have viewed many albums done by Barbette and was impressed with the quality, I definitely would recommend this service!!

I hired Barbette through Thumbtack back in June, for my daughter's wedding shower September 17th. Barbette said she would put a contract in the mail, I waited weeks, and I finally called her thinking it must have been lost in the mail. She said that she hadn't sent it yet, and was happy for the reminder, and asked for my address again. She eventually sent it. I filled out the contract, and mailed it back to her, along with a $100 check to hold the date. I again, I had to call her because she never let me know that she had received it, and hadn't cashed the check, so I had no confirmation that she had gotten it. I was worried she had changed her mind, and wasn't going to come. After the check was cashed, I was relieved. Barbette asked me what color photo strip I wanted for the shower, and what I wanted it to say on the bottom of the strip. I told her sapphire blue, silver writing, Sarah and Matt, One day closer. Less than 2 weeks before the shower I contacted her to confirm she was coming, and she texted back that she was. The day of the shower she sent her husband, she couldn't come, sent her apologies, she had a wedding event. The photo booth that she sent, was obviously for children. The camera was so low, guest either had to kneel, or crouch down to see themselves in the camera viewer. The photo strip was brown, her husband had to ask me the names that went on it. Barbette charged $400 for 2 hours! Everything should have been perfect! I have no complaints about her husband, he was very nice, AND he showed up! Her husband was interested in the photo props I made, I gave them to him. Barbette never called to ask how the event went, or to apologize for not showing up. Or even to thank me for the props I gave them. She clearly knew way ahead of time that she would not be coming. To send the children's photo booth was the icing on the cake. Barbette is not at all professional. Her word means nothing. I hired her to come 3 months prior, and she did nothing, even down to the photo strips. She couldn't care less about the event she was hired to do.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take photography classes on-line.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I originally got into this line of work when my 6 year old daughter started singing and very good I should say. I started with just dj/karaoke then I was asked to take pictures for a few weddings i was working and my passion just went on from there..
What types of customers have you worked with?
I go above for my clients. I don't mind doing extra to help the event run a little smoother. I love working with weddings. I love creating new scenes for special pictures. Something that represents the individuals.
