FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
NYS Home Inspection Law requires that all home inspectors complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years when renewing a home inspection license. On top of the state requirement all inspectors at All Pro Home Inspection will participate in other education settings to sharpen our inspection skills.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are several keys questions that should be asked. 1. Are you licensed in NYS as a home inspector? 2. How long have you been in the home inspection business? 3. How many inspections have you completed? 4. What type of report is provided? 5. Are you fully insured - including E/O insurance? 6. Is this a full time job or a part time hobby? 7. Do you provide a guarantee?
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That all home inspection firms and inspectors are not the same. Just having a license does not make everyone/company the same. The home inspection industry is not a commodity. There are differences in service and the end product a client will receive.
