They came 3 hours late. He said bw 12-2 but they showed up at 5:30-6.. They damaged lots of our furniture which we saw the next morning. There were 3 young guys.. Tired and high on weed. The smell of weed on their cloths was so strong it was making my pregnant wife uncomfortable.. was the worse experience! I'm so surprised for the five star rating!! Or maybe we just got unlucky!Oct 5, 2016VerifiedJason H.'s reply
I am extremely sorry for the damage to your property. This very rarely happens on our jobs as you can see from the 95 percent 5 star rating we have. I also want you to know that the 3 guys on this job no longer work for this company. I can assure you this won't ever be a problem again.
I do not like to write negative reviews and really hoped to resolve this in a friendly way but the company's owner (who is not Jason), did not make this possible. The main reason I hired movers versus doing this myself with a friend, is because of a large wardrobe I have, which is the only real piece of furniture and I explicitly said this when requesting moving services. I asked for the wardrobe to be disassembled and then reassembled. Well in short, the closet was left with a huge crack in the back, which the owner just waived off with his hand. The closet looked okay other than that and I don't like to make a fuss so I let it go. I paid full price, despite the fact that the movers came FOUR HOURS late! I know they got held up at another job, but they should have sent someone else to cover instead of telling me each hour that they would be by me any minute. When they left and I touched the closet, it literally wobbled like a deck of cards. I told this immediately to the mover and asked him to come back. He said he would but only between the hours of 9-5. I, like most people, work full time and politely requested he accommodate me by coming at 7pm, because I should not have to miss work due to his mess up! He said he doesn't feel like waiting around in NJ since he is from Long Island, and outright refused and hung up on me, saying "so sue me". Well guess what - I don't feel like having a broken closet!Sep 7, 2016VerifiedJason H.'s reply
I am very sorry you weren't happy with our services. This is not a reflection of our company in any way. We did state that the movers would be late based on circumstances that were beyond our control. During a holiday weekend, it's very hard to send out multiple crews, which is why we couldn't send someone else. However, before they arrived late, I did inform you that I would drop the price to try to make up for the lateness. As far as the damage and sturdiness of the piece, this should have been brought to our attention immediately, so we could have resolved it on the spot. Sending a crew back from long island to NJ at 7:00 Is almost impossible because our business hours don't fit that schedule. If you give us another time that works for us, we told you that we are willing to resolve the situation.
Jason was very responsive with the quote and any questions I had before the move. On the day of the move him and his team member, Angel, were timely, courteous, and knew what they were doing. They completed the move in an extremely professional manner and I would hire them for any future moving needs.May 9, 2018Verified
The team was very professional and speedy! Everyone was super nice and certainly made moving easier. I’m moving again soon, and will certainly use this service again!May 3, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our pricing is always based on the quantity of items that the customer has. The prices are flat rates based on which vehicle we need to use, along with the distance of travel for the job. We also offer free materials on all our jobs, including tape, blankets, bed bags, and wardrobe boxes
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The first thing we ask is for an itemized list of everything they have. From there we figure out the locations of each job, and come up with a quote. We remind them that the quote is based on what they tell us, and is always a flat rate no matter what.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been working as an independent contractor for almost 4 years now. Aside from working for myself, I also spent a year working for a moving company. I also have experience packing and driving trucks all over the country with an event planning company.
