FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The answer to this question really depends on the customer. I work on their homes and change things with materials that cost money. My time has a monitory value. The customer is not really paying for my time or the materials used though. They are paying for the feeling of being comfortable while working from home. They are paying for the feeling of relaxation from the atmosphere that they had personalized to fit their needs and wants after a long day at the office. So to answer the question, the first and only step I can describe is the first, wherein I find out who the customer is, what they are all about, and what they want and need from their homes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am involved with s.b.a. and a few other organizations to keep me informed and to help me better conduct my business. I have been doing this work since I was a young boy. My father was the ultimate "do-it-yourselfer" with a touch of perfectionism. He taught me all I know. I helped him with all of his projects and fell in love with the work.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was working with other people in this line of work and things were not being done right, subcontractors were not being paid, we were getting fired from every job because the general contractor didn't have a clue and didn't want one. I love doing this work, so I decided to do it the right way by myself.
