- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All students are made to feel welcome and at ease. Learning music is a process. Students should never worry that they are being judged. Many students are returning adults. We chat a bit, and if they can play something, they are invited to. If they are timid, we talk about what they have worked on in the past. Young students learn the notes on the keyboard, music notation, and basic figures on the keyboard.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Music degree from the Mannes College of Music in New York City, and a Master's Degree in Organ Performance from Binghamton University. I was awarded Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera Auditions held annually in New York. I have sung professionally in recital, oratorio and opera, and am a professional organist and choir director for Catholic, Reformed, and Episcopal liturgies.
