- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on 3 criteria: 1- obviously the number of guests, it goes without saying that the more guests you have the higher the cost. 2- Menu Items: I will always work with high-quality fresh ingredients, however organic produce, grass-fed beef, wild caught fish and other prime ingredients cost more and will raise the overall cost. 3- time: how long will I be working on your event? this will be determined by: a- number of items on the menu, b- complexity of dishes, how labor intensive are those items, and the services you need and their corresponding staffing requirements.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. First contact, clarify your Request for Proposal including budget, event details, services required, and duration, etc.. 2. Second contact, discuss proposal and finalize contract terms. 3. Contract signing and 50% down payment. 4. Remaining 50% due two weeks ahead of date of function.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an MBA in finance, a bachelor in marketing and a diploma in french literature. I Didn't go to culinary school but I have extensive hospitality experience working for the Jumeirah group in Dubai namely at Burj Al Arab Hotel, The most luxurious hotel in the world. Worked also with the Jumeirah Hospitality outside catering division where I managed events ranging from a dozen to over a 1000 attendees.
