We had Chef Shain come to a house we rented in the Hamptons to make lunch for about 10 people. Beforehand, he prepared a menu according to everyone’s tastes / dietary restrictions and we agreed on all items in advance. The food was so amazing we ate all leftovers for dinner. Our meal also included fresh drinks, which he brought his colleague Jeremy to make. They were both extremely professional and everything turned out great! For 4 days Chef Shain prepared fresh, original and delicious meals and snacks for a revolving amount of adults and children, all with different tastes and everyone gave him 2 thumbs up because their mouths were constantly full of his amazing creations! - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Rates vary per service. Baseline rate for a private dinner is $250 for 2 people and scales up based on overall guest count. *Grocery costs are not covered in my personal fee / quote. Travel outside of NYC area is billed at $25 an hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to do an initial consultation, to discuss the type of event, client expectations and overall budget. I like to think of it as a collaborative process that allows us to communicate clearly, which can create a great working relationship for us both.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I’ve worked in the industry 20 years, ranging from back of house/line cook, to front of house, bartending/event manage,ent and every position in between.
