FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a package of 3 sessions to most clients. Additional sessions after that are on an hourly basis, completely according to the needs of my client.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Following an initial phone call to learn about the dog, the family and the specific challenges that they need help with, meet for an initial training session with the dog. For most families, this is followed by 2 more sessions where I teach the family how to train the dog to address their challenges and where we work the dog together. Most people find they make very quick progress in those sessions and have the tools they need to continue training their dog.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am fully certified as a professional dog trainer by the CCPDT, the national organization responsible for ensuring professional dog training standards. Equally as critical, I'm a graduate of the premier organization that teaches hands on use of positive reinforcement techniques, the Karen Pryor Academy. I've also completed courses to work aggression cases. I regularly attend industry conferences and webinars to keep up on the latest training literature. Continuing education is an industry requirement and so important.
