My husband and I have had the pleasure of dealing with Tom Driscoll and Solid City Home Inspection. He is one amazing person! He was quick to respond to phone calls and emails when needed. He is working very hard to please his customers. This is our first home that we are purchasing and he has gone above and beyond his home inspection duty. Where most people who do your home inspection, that is the last you see or hear from them, that is not Tom Driscoll!! He has helped us for a few weeks past the date of inspection on details of the roof and getting any information that he could to help us out! He has also stated that in the future if there is anything we need, feel free to call him!
I have told friends and family of how he did a great job and they told me there was not home inspector like Tom Driscoll!! I would recommend if you want a complete inspection of your home then use Tom Driscoll!!! He Checks everything. He is very detailed in his work and is looking out for your best interest! His report was very detailed and informative. He also includes pictures as well. He takes pictures of everything that he sees that might be a concern and I thought that was amazing! He also enjoyed the fact that we were at the home inspection with him. Plus being there was good for us as we got to really look at what he was looking at and we got see the things that he saw. He wants you to know exactly what you are buying!! I will use him again if in the future we are to purchase another home!!! He is worth the time, money and wait if needed!! We were very pleased with his work!!!

I had a crisis as my insurance company gave me very little notice that my policy would be cancelled if they did not have an approved 4 point inspection for our house which had just turned 30 years old. Tom Driscoll from Solid City Home Inspection came out right away and did our inspection. He gave me several good pointers to save money and extend the life of septic tank, hot water heater, etc that were not within the scope of work. I had his report within 24 hours, so that I could go forward to my insurance agent and line up contractors to fix the required items. Because timeliness was of the essence he scheduled my follow up inspection the very next business day after I called him. I would highly recommend him as he is very diligent and was 100% reachable -- not once when I called did he not pick up the phone.

Mr. Tom was at the property before we arrived. He did not just sit in his car and wait; he walked around the property (with the owner's permission, of course) and was able to tell us about the roof, the chimney and a loose railing in the backyard before we even began in the house. In addition, during the inspection, he did not just tell us what was okay and what was not, he provided details and educated us in the basics of the structure and function of each area or item he was inspecting. At the end of the inspection, we received our copy of the report immediately that we could go through and really understand the inner workings of any home. I would definitely recommend Mr. Tom and Solid City Home Inspection to anyone who wants a thorough, honest inspector.

I have used Solid City Home Inspection a number of times on both my personal home and investment properties. The inspector is very detailed oriented and is very complete in his inspections and the feedback he provides. He is professional, knowledgeable and conscientious in his work. His reports are easy to read, easy to understand and useful in identifying problems and the cost of solutions. In person, he is very approachable and likable. He is willing to take the time to explain what he sees, the implications of the problem and his best opinion on if the issue is minor or major. While never giving a solution, he does give you the information you need to make an informed decision. I appreciate that. I would sincerely recommend him and Solid City Home Inspection. In an imperfect world, he is money well spent on understanding exactly what you may be getting your next home purchase.
