Monique and I discussed my project at length and she got it right and better than I had ever imagined. She is extremely creative and thoughtful with her design on projects and she did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for excellence, delivery on promise and exceeding expectations. She is a jewel in the design industry!Oct 4, 2016
I highly recommend Monique for her CAN-DO attitude! She is very creative and organized at the same time. She helped me do a house refresh in just 5 weeks!May 13, 2018Verified
I hired Monique after meeting her for the consultation. Right away I knew she was the right person for the job. Her enthusiasm and interest in doing the job sold me. The house never looked so good and all the real estate agents were very impressed on how she set up the house. She was very helpful not in only setting up the house, but in offering suggestions on things I could do to help make the house look it's best. It is without any hesitation that I highly recommend Tie in the Sky for your house staging.Apr 18, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? After we work out what your design need is, we provide a proposal of what is suggested. For a first consultation visit we charge $100 to see the space for about an hour of time and provide professional suggestions to IMPROVE the space. This 100.00 is APPLIED to the project if hired. For the full project we require a 1/2 up front and the balance when the job is complete. As mentioned in the intro if we go beyond three months of the staging there is a monthly rental fee of $200 a month to rent all the furniture because that furniture cannot be used for other staging jobs for us. We are very generous in the amount of time and VALUABLE INFORMATION we provide to help your space and we have to charge because many times customers are not serious and make us come out and just use us for ideas and this sadly is very uncool! Again this gets applied to the project if you hire us. And if I don’t you’ll get advice worth far more than 100 as many times we help save homeowners money by telling them they don’t have to invest in a whole new bathroom or take down a whole wall etc. because we have other cost saving solutions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We hear their story and go over a general questionnaire of what the client's space and needs are. We either see pics to start but a physical on site meeting is scheduled to see the space in person. We propose solutions to the client for approval first & then proceed with the project showing various stages of progress as needed. Our goal is for our clients to be really excited with the end results.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? With over 20 years of design experience in NYC, Monique knows how to make a space truly beautiful! She has made millions of dollars for companies with her clever presentations as a work for hire. She’s an expert in helping advise paint colors, to all decor and providing creative solutions to enhance or solve visual problems.
