FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are $60 for 60-minutes. Lesson Packs of 10 or more drum lessons are available, providing an instant savings, when purchased in advance. Senior Discounts (ages 55 and up) are available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson and evaluation is always free. It runs ~30-minutes and gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and for me to assess your ability, get to understand your goals, and aspirations as a drummer. All lessons thereafter run ~60-minutes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a musician and drummer. I have been playing drums for 55 years and I am currently in 3 bands; a Country band, a Soul band, and a Blues band. In addition to playing live every week, I write, produce, record, and mix music, when I'm not playing or practicing. More importantly, I am a perpetual student of the drums and I continue to take private drums lessons every week from 2 professional drum instructors, each with a different specialty. This continued learning process keeps me on my toes as I am constantly presented with new ideas and techniques that keep my skills honed and sharpened. I have learned from the pros and every student benefits from it. I am professionally endorsed by HingeStix Practice Drumsticks, and I'm a member of the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation's "Support Music Coalition", a network of non-profit organizations, schools, businesses, and individuals working hard to keep music education strong. I am also an active member and instructor through the Sabian Education Network, an organization of international educators, and an active member and instructor through the D'Addario Education Collective.
