Introduction: We want to provide a dog walking, training and pet sitting service that we would gladly hire to take care of our own pets. We were initially apprehensive leaving our senior dogs, one of them having a fractured cancerous front paw to anyone. They needed such specialized care - we didn't think anyone would be able to take this job on. We were going out of country for 8 days and from the minute we met Rick, we knew he would take good care of our 13 year old dogs. He came to our house 3 times before our trip just because he wanted to ensure they were comfortable with him. Rick not only fed, walked, gave medication and many loving hugs, he also cleaned up after the dogs, brought in the mail and left the house spic and span for our return. We were so thankful to have found Rick and will use his services exclusively in the future. Highly recommend Paw Prince to anyone wanting loving, caring, reliable in home pet care.

I have 100% peace of mind knowing Paw Prince is taking care of my Lucy's walking needs while I'm at work. The care and attention she receives warms my heart. I used Paw Prince Pet Services on my trip last week and Rick was great, a standup person! After our first introductory visit, I felt very good leaving my family in his hands. He arrived at the same time every day to give them a feeling of consistency, sent me updates, asked a question when he wasn't sure, was meticulous and gave them his time. He even brought his dustbuster to clean around the litter boxes! All my cats, including the sweet semi-feral on the porch were calm when I returned! Rick's attitude is one of professionalism and conscientiousness.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I retired from Wall Street after 28 years, I knew my next step would be in some aspect of pet care. Dog walking and pet sitting are in great demand in our area, and quality services are hard to find. I felt like I could fill a niche.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common job we do is a 30-minute dog walking visit. But we have plenty of cats that we care for, as well as overnight stays for vacationers.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the service you hire is insured and bonded. An association with a professional pet sitter's organization is helpful, too. It shows that your pet sitter really cares about what they are doing, and that your home and your pets are protected.
