Good translator, he completed the required job professionally in a very short time and over a weekend. He gave me his word that the translation would be finished in 48 hours and he kept it even when it took him much longer than he originally expected. The only minor confusion was his system of quotes based on a rate per hour, rather than per word, which makes it difficult to close a fixed price for a translation in advance. However, he kept his original time estimate in the quote despite that it took him longer than he expected. Overall a great professional.

As part of my job in communications with the Auschwitz Institute for Peace and Reconciliation, an international non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of genocide and other mass atrocities, I took Spanish lessons with Laura multiple times per week from January of 2016 to December of 2017. While I began this endeavor with a rudimentary understanding of Spanish, my abilities – especially with regards to my professional duties – rapidly improved. We worked together on a variety of communications products and translations (both English-Spanish and Spanish-English). Due to the nature of my work, translated items featured specialized political and diplomatic vocabularies. Over the course of our time together, we synthesized and translated a wide variety of documents including interviews with prominent actors in the field, recurring reports on efforts for the prevention of mass atrocities, reporting on events in the field, newsletters and other electronic communications, as well as a wide variety of other documents as they arose. These efforts required fast-paced work to meet tight deadlines and necessitated an understanding of concepts and vocabulary used in the field of human rights, international humanitarian law and mass atrocity prevention. The translated documents have been used for a wide variety of training initiatives for government officials around the world and by partnered entities, such as the Latin American Network for Genocide and Mass Atrocity Prevention. In short: Laura provides a high-quality service and I would certainly recommend her to anyone (or any organization) looking for a private teacher or tutor, especially in the context of communications. She is very consistent and always came equipped with any customized materials or background research necessary to maximize the productivity of our sessions.

Julie is amazing. I've only had an introduction class so far but I am confident that she will help me get to where I want to be with the Spanish language.

I loved working with Ana. She translated hundreds of pages of patient-facing materials for a project at NYU Langone Medical Center. She is responsive, professional, and an excellent translator. She is extremely conscientious and detail-oriented. She picked up on many things that other student research assistants did not notice. HIGHLY recommend.

Very clear and concise. Asks questions to make sure the French party understands the full translation - rather than a literal translation.

Hiro is an excellent online teacher! The textbook he chose is easy to follow and he is able to adapt perfectly to your pace. Originally from Kyoto, he is very knowledgeable about what words and phrases are outdated and will let you know what Japanese people actually use nowadays. After learning from Hiro from only 6 months, I was able to use basic Japanese quite often on my trip to Tokyo. He was sure to focus on how I pronounced everything and sure enough, everyone understood me! I couldn't be happier with my lessons and will be referring anyone looking for an online Japanese tutor to him. :)

    About

I perform English to Russian translations in order to help industry and business run smoothly. People do not specifically pay for the translation; they pay for the value that it adds and the message that it conveys. I always keep that fact in mind and make sure that my translation conveys the correct message.

    About

Our business concentrates in teaching Spanish as an alternative language. We also assist homeschoolers and students who are taking Spanish in school. Our prefered learning strategy is immersion which focus on the tutor speaking Spanish only. This will help you learn the language as a unit instead of piece by piece, but we use other ways of learning too depending on what you want to achieve.
