Serge is an extremely skilled top notch coach and amazing instructor that genuinely cares about his students. His training sessions are very challenging and rewarding. My strength and endurance levels have greatly improved in such a short time since training with Serge. He has patience and will take the time to go over moves as many times as you need, in a supportive and encouraging way. You will sweat, train hard and learn a lot from each lesson. My training sessions were by far the BEST that I've ever experienced. What marks a phenomenal instructor is his ability to teach in a particular way that impacts every aspect of a students life, and that is what Serge has done for me and I'm truly thankful. Overall, I would highly recommend Serge to all without any hesitation. Josette-

Training Day 1 a success: he seems nice and definitely tailors a routine to your specific needs--and I need someone who's gonna kick my butt at workout (but not in a drI'll sergeant kind of way, which he is definitely not). Looking forward to future kickboxing lessons as part of the routine as well!

It all started with 3 words. I was first inspired to visit the East Morris Karate Academy years ago when I came across an old yellow-page ad describing the school that said: “Tradition / Society / Profession”. This short description was (and still is) unusual in a market that hypes MMA, cage fighting, barb-wire tattoos, “kiddie karate” and/or women’s self defense for weight loss programs. So I was curious… could this be the real deal? What I learned rather quickly was 1) That not all karate schools are the same; 2) that the East Morris Karate Academy taught karate in the traditional sense of the word… and; 3) that my life was about to change in a myriad of ways for the better. I got stronger, focused, more confident, and began finding successes both in, and out, of the dojo. Now, years later, I’ve seen this happen countless times in many of our adult and junior students. This stuff does work! Whether you are an adult looking to study martial arts, or a parent looking for a quality program for your child - you can’t go wrong with Mr. Musco & East Morris Karate Academy. They are everything that karate is supposed to be about.

A great place for kickboxing, boxing and of course MMA. After a month of training, I can say for sure that all the trainers including sensei professionals, very interesting physical exercises in conjunction with the technical part of the session bring the result! Highly recommend this place!

Ed is a great choice for anyone interested in learning self defense. Ed quickly responded to all of my emails. He tailors the lessons to what you want to learn. Ed is very friendly, punctual and motivated. He isn’t staring at his watch looking to be done with you. My lessons all have run long because Ed is such a motivated teacher. You can really tell that he loves what he’s doing. If you’re thinking of learning self defense or expanding on your self defense knowledge, drop Ed a line, he is a capable motivated teacher. He will respond quickly and his prices are extremely reasonable. Take one class and you will see what I mean.

I had taken up this art at the age of 18 years old to assist me in my job performance while under pressure/ stress. Additionally, it became more and more easier as I trained for 30 minutes each day. I was given many hours of advance specializes training from Keith Sammy, Instructor. Lion Style is an art which gives an individual the abuility to defend themselves from any angle with you legs( since you have longer reach and more power with a kick), then your hands. This is a science built art and utilizes kenitics with psychology to strike an opponent without being strike, lead an opponent into an action that allow you to strike, and confuse the opponent. To this end, Lion Style Karate gave me a life long lesson, which was transferable to my dad to day life. Jon Sumesar-Rai MIFire.E, MPS.

The 8 year old who is bullied at school was very happy with his private lesson. He's already feeling more confident and has learned some self defense moves that are appropriate for his age, height, strength level, etc. John will be doing bi-weekly one on one self defense lessons for the next few weeks and then some. As a grandma, I'm very happy my grandon is learning how to protect himself, confidence, how to get out of bully situations, etc.

Because I'm not doing this solely to get paid. I want to live in a world where a large majority of the population has studied some form of the art. I believe that if a large enough group or community train the amount of negative things that happen will decrease because they would have something that instills them with purpose and meaning.

I teach classical self defense not modern sports martial arts. This is not a fitness class and it's not Muy Ty or Kung Fu. If your looking for those please find someone teaching that. If you ARE interested in the real ancient battlefield techniques of the samurai and osoteric warriors of Warring States Period Japan, this is what you looking for. This art is a high quality self defense method that works regardless of the practitioners size, strength or age. This martial art WORKS at all levels!

About

Private, personal self-defense, and martial arts lessons with a sensei who has been teaching students self-defense for over 30 years. I have a black belt in four separate martial arts and styles. I am dedicated and committed to both the martial arts and the student's learning and self-confidence. The martial arts began centuries ago with the teacher and student trusting and learning together in a unique and private setting. The student was able to not only learn self-defense, confidence, and protection skills, but they were also able to learn and grow as an individual and as a person. The element of trust became easier for the student as they were able to confide and learn in this sacred and private setting. There are no other students to distract you from learning, no lines, no substitute teachers, no being stuck in the back of the class or the back of the room. All questions were asked and all questions were relevant. The student was always the priority and the focus of the class and session. Always more time for learning and confidence building. That's the tradition where I came from and what I believe in. No uniform is required, no long term contract, and no hidden fee. The only request from me, Sensei Dennis, is for serious students only who keep their word, who come to class on time, who are respectful to the martial arts and the sensei, and who are willing to trust and learn. Any student who is willing to learn comes into the room leaving their ego at the door. With that agreement in mind, then that's our contract. Private classes are 90 minutes long and can be requested for any day of the week at any time provided that the time is not already scheduled. Semi-private and small group classes can be requested and done upon request. Classes can be in the day, afternoon, evening or late hours. Classes are for men, women, children, and couples. No age is too old or too young. Everyone is welcomed. Remember that personal safety and protection skills never goes out of style. Wherever you live or wherever you move to, your protection skills and advantage goes with you. I hope to have the privilege of meeting and teaching you in the future. Thank you. ~ Sensei Dennis.

About

We provide traditional Okinawan karate instruction as well as judo to ages 4 and older. We also are happy to teach at after-school and daycare programs.

About

I am a martial arts practitioner who wants to help people transform their lives and see them accomplish more than they believe.

About

I provide Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong classes and private lessons. I have been teaching Tai Chi/QiGong classes for 5 years now at St. Margaret’s House on Fulton Street. I have also taught at Boom Fitness (3rd Ave.), Excelsior Athletic Club and CNR HealthCare. The program that I teach has been embraced by both young and older clients because of the unique stretching and energy work out. The Tai Chi program guides the mind into the body and releases stresses, much like yoga does, and at the same time, builds up the legs and balance skills.

About

I provide private or group lessons in the arts of judo and ju jitsu to anyone who wants to learn. This is a great way to get in shape, have fun, and learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones. I have a lifetime experience in the martial arts already and a firm understanding of the principles and mechanics involved. I have been an instructor for 4 years and a student my whole life under the system run by my father. We are a family and always looking to grow. We hope you will join us.
